The beginning of a new year is always an exciting time and the best and only way to celebrate is to go on a gastronomical adventure. It has been a tradition we have our Christmas meal at Out of the Blue and what a glorious meal it is.
PS. the Chocolate Banoffee Pie is amazing and deserves a post of its own. 🙂
This year Mr. P also surprised us with an adorable ginger bread house. With its white frosting and candy decore I almost wished I could take the “alice in wonderland” shrink pills and live in it for a day.
While we were out for our Christmas brunch we also took a long walk by the sea which led us to this small temple. It was surrounded with a lot of different idols of gods and goddesses that had probably been immersed by people but the sea had sent back ashore. The whole place had this eerie feeling. Its not an easy feeling to explain but I am still haunted by the images of the place.
In a surprise turn of events I participated in a giveaway from Sugar Box India and won myself a discount coupon. When the red box arrived in the mail it was almost too pretty to open. (I will be writing about my experience in a separate post soon.)
I have always been a homebody and have hated crowds. Stepping out of the house to ring in the New Year always gives me the chills. So a good movie and a blanket is the best company I like to keep to celebrate. How can one not feel festive in this blanket??!!
How did you celebrate the holidays and what were you doing on New Years Eve?
