This week has been such a mixed bag. I feel like all is did was play catch up.
One of the biggest changes in the Thingism Household has been that my 18 month old is now going to play-school.
To make it a little easy on the kids having to deal with separation anxiety, for the first week the classes were only half an hour class. She is so stimulated that she has now extended her afternoon nap from 1 hour to 2 hours. Its an absolute treat to see her personality shine through when she is with her peer group.
In the last week or so we have also made a new friend. Colours. They seem to be taking over all other games and toys.
One of the bigger challenges that have taken up this year as part of my resolutions is to get out of my comfort zone. I am not the kind of person who typically wears a lot of colour. It will take me while to add more colour to my wardrobe. So I decided I try wearing bold colours as part of my makeup.
This is of course a typical Mumbai taxi selfie. Among the 74 selfie attempts there were a few smiling ones too but the only one that made the cut was the non blurry, non smiling one. Oh well! Out of the comfort zone it is then…
With expended 2 hours of nap time I have finally got time to pick up small projects around the house. The first/easiest one I completed was to hang fairy lights in our room. Earlier we had this horrible blue led night lamp that gave the room an eerie blue glow. With just some 3M Command Hooks and an extension cord the room looks whimsical warm and inviting all the time.
One our first date this year Mr P got me my favourite flowers. Lilies. They make me smile every time I see them and reminds me of all the wonderful dates that we have been on and will be going to this year.
There is a superstition in our family that we end up doing exactly the same thing all year round the things we do the moment the year starts. Looks like its going to be a busy busy busy 2015.
How has your first week of 2015 been??
