Having an almost 3 year old means there is very little time to make oneself look presentable. I have finally been able to get the whole routine down to the basics. Its almost down to a science.
Base : I reach for the Bourjois Happy Lights Foundation almost everyday. It has a light to medium coverage. Its easy to work with and lasts for a decent 3 hrs or so for me. The Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is the one that I reach for when I want a little more coverage and I want my makeup to last longer.
Blush : This Clinique Blushing Blush Powder has been one of the best makeup investment I have made. Its a beautiful brown-pink that adds just the right colour and the right shade to the skin so I look healthy and not dehydrated and dull.
Eyeshadow : The Mac All That Glitters Eyeshadow is one of the best shades that anyone can wear. Its amazing at brightening up the eyes and making one look well rested. Its a small pot of magic. After a not so good night of sleep I can still look perfectly well rested as long I as I slap this on and blend it well… (PS : A little goes a long way or you look like you are wearing gold foils for eyeshadow. Learnt it the hard way.)
Highlight and Lips : High Beam and Bene Tint are my go-to products for highlight and lips. I find that they are very easy to work with and are not so heavy should one feel the need to carry them on the go.
Finishing Powder : Clinique Blended Face Powder has been my one and only powder that makes everything look amazing. Its the one product that I always will repurchase and have as part of my makeup. The powder itself is very finely milled and the way it makes the rest of the makeup blend and bond is flawless.
Mascara : Like many of us I have very stubborn lashes. They have a mind of their own and I have given up on curling them. As for mascara after experimenting for a while I have found that the only mascara that does not bleed in Mumbai whether and still makes my lashes semi good is the MaxFactor False Lash Effect. If there is any other mascara that compares please let me know.
Kajal : I have always been a fan of lining my bottom tight line. I have been doing so for a very long time. I don’t really stick to one product for this and keep experimenting.
Applying makeup is almost like therapy for me. I feel like the time I spend at making myself look presentable is very important to me and is also a source of confidence.
