Loving :: Smitten, Devotion & Flirtation

Revlon has been stealing all my money lately. In my last post I spoke about the skinny liquid eyeliner and today its all about the lips. I have been a fan of liquid lipsticks for the texture and pigmentation but I did not really find any brand making a lot of colours I would reach for.

While I avoid the makeup counters in most market, (because of the aggressive selling by the sales people) I did stop by a Revlon counter when I saw the Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor range. All the colours seemed just the kind I like. Also when I tried them they were the softest most buttery formula.

The two that caught my eye  immediately were Flirtation and Devotion.

Flirtation is more of an orange colour in the range. It is bright and opaque with an amazing colour payoff, something I have not seen in any orange pigment lipsticks.

Devotion is a darker pink colour that is subtle and good for everyday use.

They are the most easy colours that get along with any outfit. And they are not very heavy on the skin so one can also pile it on to get a very rich colour payoff.

While I chose 2 colours in the range and an eyeliner I was able to qualify for an offer they were running at the time where I could get 1 Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain for free. This was the most daring choice I made with the colour Smitten.  But to my surprise I have also been reaching for this colour lately.

In the tube Smitten is a very dark almost vampy pink but on my lips it looks more red. It is very bright but I have been dabbing a little on and wearing it as a stain.

I have always felt that every year one makeup brand bring out the best products in every category. And this year Revlon is a serious contender for that title.
